FIX THE DMA PROBLEM!
PS, I have just installed AMS's newst EIDE and AGP xminiport drivers from AMD's driver support page, but how do I see if there is any improvement from the original microsoft 98 installed drivers to the new AMD drivers, in other words how do I check if my configuration is optimal? Thank you in advance,

Does anyone else find that the AMD enhanced Drivers for Q2 absolutely suck? They marginally increase your framerate, and they make they seem to screw up the coloured lighting effects. I have the drivers for the mobo that XP installed since they are more up to date than the (Win98) drivers I haven on CD. Is there anybody using the Win2k AMD drivers in XP? Is it worth the bother or are they older than the XP drivers? Go to www.microsoft.com and do a search for BOOTVIS. Download it and run it.

The only one you need is the Via AGP 4.03d driver. The other drivers in the 4 in 1 build 4.24 are not necessary as far as I can tell. They must do something but I haven't been able to tell what. If you are running Win2k you will also need the AMD reg patch for AGP performance. It won't run 3d mark without it.

had it a few months ago that it was best to leave in the MS IDE drivers.
